“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)

Case Study Results

Made New Recovery is the primary ministry under Different Ministry, Inc. It was inspired by the journey and life experiences of Paul, the ministry founder, and his hope to prevent others from enduring those same circumstances or encourage those finding themselves in similar situations to know there is hope through faith in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Repentance

To begin the journey to complete freedom from addiction, we first acknowledge that addiction is a sin. Repentance is when you turn away from that sin and go down a new path in the opposite direction.

Utilizing scripture to gain the truth and strength needed to become equipped with the armor of God

Gaining knowledge of the truth of Scripture is so important in our daily walk and one of the most crucial components you will need in fighting the spiritual battle against Satan is defending yourself with the Armor of God.

Building a relationship with God through prayer

The power of prayer is essential to a relationship with God. This is the communication we use to worship and praise him. It is also what we use when we are in need.

Mending relationships through forgiveness

The power of forgiveness is life changing. It is crucial to examine your life when living in sin, admitting and acknowledging those you have hurt on that path. Whether it was physical, emotional, a lie, something you stole, someone you manipulated or used. Yes, you receive forgiveness from God for your sins when you accept Christ, but there are people out there that require closure or the acceptance of the sins you committed toward them. Equally, it is important in the healing process to forgive those who have hurt or wronged you.

Accountability - past, present and future

The first four days were examples of accountability. Repentance and forgiveness are examples of taking accountability for your past. The armor of Christ and a strong prayer life are accountability for the present and future. These are tools that God gives us to use with the help of the Holy Spirit to be in a continuous state of repentance as we live life. It’s not only important to have accountability for the things you’ve done but also the accountability for future things you do, places you go, or people you associate with. Are these things in your future going to benefit you and lift God up or are they dishonoring to God, creating a stumbling block. Putting things in place in our lives are instrumental to staying away from the attack in the first place. Also, it is a future state of accountability, as you may fall, to remain accountable and ask for help to be picked back up.

Open Discussion

During open discussion time, participants are able to discuss any of the core beliefs that have been extremely helpful to them during the past few days/week or if they are struggling with one of the core beliefs and are searching for assistance and guidance on how to build up that core belief in their daily lives.
